How We Assist

We apply to charitable trusts, and many have been our supporters over the long years we’ve been active as an organisation. Some of these trusts include Blogg Trust, Rata Trust and Carter Trust. We also hold cake stalls and craft stalls through each year, held in the Christchurch Hospital foyer. And we provide toys and equipment requested by staff of wards and departments.

Provisions for specific locations

• Childrens play area “Bone Shop” - providing toys and furniture.
• X-Ray Department, Waipapa - providing toys and furniture.
• ICU: providing fold-up beds for parents staying with their child
• Palliative Care - providing toys and resources.
• Gateway Program - providing toys and resources.
• Disability Care - providing toys and resources.

In addition:

• Providing taxi and meal vouchers for staff to issue.
• Providing washing machines, dryers, electric kettles, blenders, radios, televisions and DVD players.
• Providing “distraction boxes” for children while they undergo procedures in hospital.
• Providing stickers, bubbles, bench boxes to reward and distract children in hospital.
• Providing food items for children and parents.
